Arthur Peacock
Here he is (eventually). After one broken router and dead camera batteries, I have finally got round to photographing Arthur. So may I present to you Mr Arthur Peacock ....
I had forgotten just how much hard work having a puppy was. I think Tracy knows the feeling. Thankfully he isn't destructive, but he does eat anything that happens to be on the floor - including Maudie's food!
Arthur is 9 weeks old and came to the rescue centre as the owner had bred from his mother, sold a few pups and didn't want the last two. He was "going away" and didn't want them. Luckily Arthur's brother was also re-homed on the same day.
And what a little bugger this boy is - don't let the cute face fool you. I caught him on the sofa barking at Maudie. He insists on taking over her igloo house and "killing" the sheepskin rug in there. Not to mention his penchant for Crocs.
But we are making progress. He can sit on command and knows "Fetch". So it's a start. It's just like having a baby in the house. Even worse as Maudie sits near me meowing for some attention. But I think it's safe to say that Mr Peacock is here to stay - even though Keanan has asked why can't we have a normal name! The cheek of it!
And just to prove that he has his feet firmly under the table, he even had some post.
Stephen couldn't believe it. I think he thought I had posted the parcel myself. It was Kim. Thanks Kim. Arthur has been playing fetch with his toy, but here's Maudie's
And the little swine has already popped his head into her igloo twice and stolen it and then refused to give it back voluntarily!
Never mind Arthur Peacock, I think we should have called him Arthur the Terrible!

nice to meet you Arthur x
my girls think you are going to be a very handsome chap indeed.
Ghillie is too tall to notice you are there!!!
lucky, lucky puppers - enjoy your new forever home xx

He's adorable! I know first hand what hard work puppies are. Good thing he is so cute makes it easier to tolerate! I cherish the memories of our girls during their puppy stages but I confess that I'm glad they have grown out of it!

OMG What a darling puppy!! Luckily I had to look after the dog we got my mum, years ago, as she wasn't back from holiday until after the owners left for theirs - 3 days with little Whisky was enough to put me off FOR L.I.F.E!! I prefer my pusscats. They aren't so destructive, and they are self-sufficient. I nearly succombed to the lure of the puppy dog eyes once, but I caught myself just in time. Good luck. May you have many years of joy with Mr Peacock :D

What a handsome boy, a bit like having a toddler in the house again but in no time you'll have him trained and a he'll be a well-behaved boy I'm sure! Nice to see you back.

I think the mischief is all part of the charm - I have 2 cats and they are still crazy even though they are 4 and should have grown out of it. My best mate's mum described having a new puppy as having a naughty little boy zipped up in a dog jacket! He's gorgeous though, so I bet you don't mind as much x

Oh he is stunningly handsome! I do however understand the work that goes on. It's like having a very bad toddler in the house! Our last collie pup was brought into the house with the idea that we would keep her inside and outside and have a normal pet relationship with her. Then she could be a farm dog too. It lasted 2 weeks. I would come home to make the tea and there would be 3 pile of poo, 4 puddles of pee, and my 3 kids were in the middle of it all. The toilet training just wasn't working. So she is a farm dog with her own house. I felt very bad, but it was for the best. Hope you are getting somewhere!

Oh he is adorable, and looks like a puppy version of my Scruffybear. I love the puppy stages as they find their character although I swear they are worse than children sometimes..lol
