Clearing the Decks
So much for relaxing after the Christmas period. After painting the cloakroo, I threw caution to the wind and decided that I would also spruce up the boys rooms.
But before I started painting I decided to have a big clear out/sort through. That resulted in a trip to the charity box and the boys rooms being much clearer - they even "discovered" a few toys that had been buried under other toys.
This is the just finished version of Keanan's room. It's not quite as tidy as this now - but I have been making the boys tidy up dirty clothes etc as they go along.
I did tell you I was a white and cream kind of girl. I bought a big 10 litre tub of magnolia paint from B&Q and just started painting.
After one weekend of painting solid, the rooms are so clean and fresh. Shame it won't last too long! But Maudie obviously approves.

Blimey, I will be so impressed if their rooms stay like that! I hope they are grateful to their lovely Mum for all that hard work! (and that the fabulous sofa is appreciated!)

the rooms look great, clean, fresh and very very cream (lol xx). Wish my son's room looked so nice instead of being the room which almost always has the door firmly shut to stop the chaos from spreading through the rest of the house....

Looks great! Isn't it rewarding when a coat of paint makes everywhere fresh and clean. i've loads of decorating to do. Laundry room first I think.

I'm very impressed at your hard work - it all looks lovely. I wish I had the energy to do things like that! Make sure you have time to do things for yourself

I'm a fan of cream too, I've gradually painted the whole house in various shades, it's so restful and you can add colour with accessories. I need to tackle my Son's room sometime though, it's a disgrace, I keep closing the door and ignoring it. I like what you've done, now how long will it stay that tidy?!

All your rooms look so bright and fresh . . must get on and revamp ours. Naughty, naughty, being so lazy already! We're going to clear out our cellar next weekend. Now, that really is a mammoth task!

I love the sofa cover. Did you make it? I've been wanting to make some slip covers but find it difficult to find fabric that I like at reasonable prices. So do tell!

Well Done! I am wanting to paint too but my husband is such a perfectionist he doesn't trust anyone but himself and he is always too busy!
