Today was a good day with goodies arriving through the post.

Much needed fabric all ready earmarked for the Country Living Christmas Fair.

Fabric

Although I have a feeling that this won't be enough and I will have to order more next week.  But it will do for now to make a dent in the big Sewing To Do List

I also received a beautiful smelling parcel from Claire

Cards

I did mention yesterday that I am at the Cowbridge Foodnd Drink Festival this weekend and I am taking some of Claire's lovely creations along with me.

S7002600

The parcel smelt so beautiful as she had sent me surplus lavender from her garden.

S7002598

I am adding to it to already harvested lavender which will mean I won't have to buy any for quite some time.

The third parcel in the mail was this book ordered from Amazon

Patchwork

After reading good reviews about it, I succumbed and ordered it.  But I have to admit to being a little disapointed with it.  The photography is beautiful (unlike my dodgy photos today)!

Journals

And there are some good ideas, but my disapointment was due to the fact that a huge amount of the projects are quilts.  Which are not my bag.

Coasters

The one project I am most interested in is these birds

Birds

I think they may be finding their way into Christmas stockings this year.

Those rolls of fabric are making me swoon.

I agree with the statement before - swoon worthy fabric! I also like the idea of those Christmas birds, make sure you post photos when you make them!

Ooh, I love the pink spotty fabric. It was good to read your feedback on the book. I have been toying with the idea of buying it, but am worried it will be full of projects I have already done - isn't it annoying when you can't look through books first!
The fridge magnets are great - cupcakes with hundreds and thousands mmm

Love the look of that fabric and those birds. Claire's things are beautiful. Good luck with it all this week.

Exciting times for you Samantha, I'm watching with interest even though I don't always have time to comment on blogs (so many to read, so little time!). Your family should be very proud of you, your little empire seems to be expanding! Well done and good luck.

Best of luck at the Country Living Fair! How exciting! Isn't that fair a HUGE event?! I can't wait to see photos!
Oh, and I'm glad you were so frank about that book...I contemplated it but will hold off now. ;)

Lots of lovely fabric there, have a great time at the fair.
