Winding Down
The school holidays seem to have flown by and in the process the boys have turned feral. We have had school friends over and I think at some point every child in the village has been in our garden. But apart from the fact that they have had to have a shower everynight due to necessity (Boys + Rain = Mud) they have had a whale of a time.
I have been yting to do some work through the holidays, but next week is going to be devoted to the boys. So I shan't be posting next week. Just so you don't all miss me too much, I am going to show you some of my thrifty finds.
This little hanger is just crying out for some embellishments and ribbons.
It was bought together with all these pretty vintage children's hangers. Not for keeping, but they will be for sale soon.
Vintage sheeting: oodles of it
Old copies of Country Living, perfect for inspiration
This knitting magazine, was bought so that I could teach myself to knit. All though with all the projects I have on the go, whether I get round to it, I just don't know.
And just so that you don't think that all I've been doing is wandering round charity shops, tea cosies that are going to be sent a samples to Chandlers
Hope you all have a good week and see you all soon. x
Have a great week!!! See you soon

I've been away far too long and it's good to be back checking in on things after an extremely busy few summer weeks here on the coast. I'm over the moon...YOU GOT AN ORDER FROM LIBERTY (can you hear me shouting?). You've hit the big time and no one is more deserving after the hard work and effort that you've put into making plump pudding a reality. Congratulations on a job well done!

Have a great week, I'm treasuring my last week, but as a teacher it's for different reasons! I also wanted to say that I love the way you put fabrics together, I don't drink tea but could definitely be tempted by one of your cosies!

Love the sheets - I have a bit of a thing for collecting sheets - currently raiding the stash for patchwork. I used to be a youth worker and I loved this time of year - all the kids getting ready for school - it was exciting and also meant the end of a very, very long summer running play activities!

Those sheets are lovely. I only ever see stuff from the 80's or 90's in the shops I go to.
And those hangers! I remember having those when I was little.
Have fun with the boys. It looks like the weather isn't going to be too bad this week (so far. Of course, that's likely to change the next time I check the forecast!)
