Following the Crowd

After the caving in under peer pressure and allowing Ethan a mobile phone, I have caved in once again and bought both boys a pair of Crocs.  I was quite surprised that they asked for these, but it is probably due to the fact that some of their school friends have them.

Not one to disapoint, I bought them when the boys were in school.  Which meant that when they came out of school pestering me to go to buy them, I could casually mention that there "might" be a surprise at home.  Of course they guessed straight away.

Stephen is adamant that I only bought them for the boys because I like them.  I don't.  And neither does he.  So that's the family divided: two who don't like them and two boys who love them.

There is one consolation though - they won't be hard to spot around the village!

your boy's are so beautiful and take such a good photo - future models????
as for the crocs - i just cannot get my head round them - i know they are comfy - but they are sooooo ugly!

My girls love crocs, the oldest has got them but they're the ballet pump style. She wore them all the time in Italy! Gorgeous, gorgeous boys!

all three of my kiddos have them. we have been wearing them over here in the midwest for about three years now. they started in coorado...not too far from here. i had a pair for gardening about 6 yearsago and was completely suprised when my gardening shoes became the latest fashion craze. the kids have them in avariety of colors, but i still just use mine for gardening!

My four year old nephew has one pair (and another pair have just been ordered by Grandma), he loves his Crocs and they look really cute on him. They look darn good on your two as well.

hey, for some reason boy feet need more air than other feets :-) the holes in the crocs should make yaking shoes off a bit more pleasant

Oh what gorgeous boys you have! The crocs look so cool on them. I think it's sweet they like them - an American (male)colleague told me that only men who were very secure and confident could wear Crocs. Ha ha!! That means my OH then; he keeps bugging me to buy him some because he likes to be ahead of trends. I prefer the Mary-Janes and DD pestered me for some too, so I've ordered lavender for me and "sea foam" for her. Said American colleague (above) will bring them over from the US for me, half price with the dollar rate now!

PS DD has a pic of Jared Leto (yummy - just Google him) in a pair of silver Crocs LOL

I remember when I first read about crocs. The ad said 'it was like walking on marshmallows'. After having mine for a year I have to say I agree 100%, they are sooooo comfortable. But it really is too bad that they are really quite ugly!!!! I also have a pair of the cheap knock offs. It's true what they say 'you get what you pay for'. There is no comparison in comfort but they are all equally as ugly!!!

Crocs rule!
Ugly, yes but a dream to wear.
Even Roland has got some now!

The boys look great. I got some fake crocs in a beige colour and they're great, very comfy, I have to look down in the morning to check if I've come out in my slippers.
I too caved in on the mobile phone front, but Lucia is 11 and going to secondary school in Sept and I want to be able to contact her when I want (and she thinks I'm such a cool mum!)

I always thought they were ugly too, but when I bought some for my kids last summer, I got some too, and they are just sooooo comfortable that I have had a complete turn around. Great for slipping on to go out in the garden or the clothes line. If you give them a go, you will be a convert ... I was

Oh its only a matter of time - I've had mine for a couple of years and adore them, then Johnny and Mark had them and now even Hubby sports a pair (although only round the house!). They have a way of sneaking up on you...

We have them here and fake ones, I never saw boys wear them in the US but they look cute on them!!!!!! and your boys are adorable(handsome!)!!!!!

I saw Mary Jane Style Ones in the store, I want those!

I LOVE CROCS. HAve you tried them on? Oh my, they are just SO comfy. Me and the 3 kids have a couple of pairs each, all different colours...we look like a tribe walking down the street!
