Just let me get on line .... please!
I have been having terrible problems accessing the Internet. AOL just isn't playing ball and after a call to the help desk yesterday I am back on-line. Although it was still very reluctant to let me on today. Swine!
I posted a while ago about putting a huge pile of my vintage fabric stash on e-Bay for sale. What a success that was - it all sold. And I was amazed at the prices some of it fetched. The upshot of this is that I had some money in my paypal account. Did have - past tense.
I went on an e-Bay spending spree at the weekend and bought much James Bond paraphernalia for Ethan's 10th birthday which is on 8 May. Most of that has arrived and the last lot is a four James Bond audio books - he really is obsessed!
Whilst all that James Bond stuff doesn't float my boat this cute Michael Miller fabric does. I bought 1 metre which will be ample for 8 party bags and some left over for me to use. The photograph is a little washed out as the background is pale blue. But Ethan was really pleased with as as he also has an obsession with World War 2 as well as James Bond. A project for next week.
I am keeping the poor postman busy too. This parcel arrived from Mirre at Kisskus. Keanan appropriated the kissbee - much to Ethan's disgust as he had his eye on it too. I think the little bird will be coming out to the studio with me.
Included in the package were these pretty buttons and lovely trim. I am in the process of making a new case for my digital camera and may well use this binding for that.
These lavender sachets smell gorgeous and are going to be hung in my wardrobe later tonight. And four of them - super generous!
I have been busy at the sewing machine. I find that after about a week I have "withdrawal" symptoms and need to get out to the studio and sew.
In the spirit of Use What You Have I made a small bundle of carrier bag holders and they have been listed on e-Bay along with the final items from my clear out. Photos on Flickr (hope I've linked to them OK).
Thanks for all your comments on the Dora Mouse kit. I think I am going to add them to my shop and also may well add them to my Etsy shop.

I love that plane material! It looks very retro. And I'm sure Ethan will be impressed with the James Bond things for his birthday - what a generous Mum you are. P.S thanks for being the first to comment on my blog.

Wow I would never have thought to make my own party bags out of fabric, you're very clever.
I just love all the fabric you use, it's very inspiring.
