Happy Birthday Keanan!
Today is Keanan's 8th birthday. And of course the photo I chose to post is the one of him and his much coveted new trainers. And it is snowing here in Wales - can't remember having snow on Keanan's birthday before. So I am not sure of what we are going to do today.
Later on my family are coming over and we will have supper and Keanan will be opening more presents.
Last night I managed to finish off the party bags and favours.
Not a great photograph, but it was quite late and I was glad to see the back of them. Each bag has some little Simpson's "thing" in it. The boys will have the chameleon and there is a little felt heart for the girls.
Panic is starting to set in as I have only heard from a few people and there are a couple of children who aren't able to make it as they are away. Think calm thoughts!
On Flickr I saw these beautiful pincushions made by Craftapalooza. Oh Bara also makes them in her sewing kits. I have been admiring them for some while and trying to figure out how to make them. If you follow the link to Craftapalooza above, and scroll down the comments, she has kindly given instructions. As a woman who regularly gets fed up with her pincushions and likes to make new ones, I think this is a project I shall have to try.
There is also a new group, pincushions on Flickr, set up by Mirre. Go and have a look.
Happy Birthday Keanan!!! All white K Swiss trainers - cool but I sympathize with you, can 8 year old boys keep them white? Those pincushions are beautiful. I'm going to try to make one!!

Happy Birthday Keanan!! Those gift bags are the best! I never imagined doing something like that. Way better than a plastic goodie bag with lolipops and noisemakers inside. Thanks for the pincushion links.

Happy birthday to Keanan! I love all the bags you made, they came out so well. And the chameleons, wow! I hope he has a great time at the party!

Happy birthday to Keanan! The bags and chameleons are to cute! Thank you for the pincushion links. I had fun looking at all of them. My girlfriend and I are finishing a class on a Japanese Bento Bag next week and the instructor is going to teach us a pincushion too!

I hope Keanan had a lovely birthday and I hope the party will be wonderful tomorrow!
Those bags and chameleons look fantastic; I'm going to keep them in mind for when my daughter celebrates her birthday!
